The Communauté d’agglomération Paris-Saclay is an administrative entity in the Essonne department, on the outskirts of Paris. It was created in 2016 through the merger of the former Communauté d’agglomération du Plateau de Saclay and the Communauté d’agglomération Europ’Essonne. Paris-Saclay aims to become the Paris region innovation lab.

The Community Council adopted its Territorial Climate Plan for 2019-2024 on June 2020. It is the second conurbation in Île-de-France and the first in Essonne to adopt it. The Climate Plan was created through the collaborative efforts between municipalities, economic players, associative actors of the territory and inhabitants. Various actions are being developed which align with the European Green Deal, including shortened food supply-chains, renovation of public buildings and lighting to reduce energy consumption, clean mobility and energy solutions and circular economy initiatives.

With a leading university and numerous active public and private partners, Paris-Saclay offers a unique environment to develop and grow innovative solutions and start-ups.
