Centred in the city of Rouen, the Métropole Rouen Normandie is an intercommunal structure, located in the Seine-Maritime department of the Normandie region of north-western France. It replaced the previous Communauté d’agglomération Rouen-Elbeuf-Austreberthe in 2015.
The Métropole Rouen Normandie has seen the uptake of new technologies in various areas of the city’s public services such as waste collection, selective sorting and alternative modes of transport (cycling facilities, bicycle repair services, temporary free access to the cycling network, etc.). With an important natural heritage thanks to its sizable and diverse landscape, the Metropolis pursues a policy of preservation of its natural resources. The Metropolis has also set up the Territorial Food Project which aims to socially, environmentally and economically develop the local agricultural sector.
Métropole Rouen Normandie was a participant city in the DCC.
