The Association of Municipalities and Towns of Slovenia is the biggest association representing Slovenian municipalities. With 179 members out of 212 municipalities in the country, it covers around 90% of Slovenia’s inhabitants. The Association defends the common interests shared by its municipalities, in particular with regards to regulations and policies.
Beyond interest representation, the Association supports its members in many other ways. It offers cities and municipalities technical and scientific advice and encourages them to pursue common development projects. In early 2020, they conducted a series of workshops to assess the needs of Slovenian municipalities with regards to digitalisation.
The Association entered the ICC with the goal to ensure the widest possible range of users to access new smart services.
